So the stag do weekend came round and we travelled up to Northumberland thursday night.  It turned out to be a very interesting trip, resulting in not a lot of climbing (for me anyway) but a great deal of manly banter and messing about.  We visited Bowden Doors, Back Bowden Doors and Kyloe-in-the-Woods all of which are impressive crags and all set in a beautiful location.  Saturday was the main day out, with everybody there we headed to Back Bowden Doors.  The day was spent bouldering and generally larking around at the crag.  Will Eveson managed to capture some of these moments in the pictures below.

My Stag costume for the day.

Full team at the crag.

This day at the crag was followed by a pub meal and back to the bunk house for beer, music and more banter.

The morning after.

All in all it was a great weekend, for which we all suffered, for the next week.

It’s not often that we get that select team of people together anymore but it was well worth it and thanks to you all for making that long journey up there.

The following week was hard work to say the least, with Ben and Jak setting for the festival most of the week, I don’t know how they managed it.  I joined them on friday for the day to set and forerun the boulder comp.  With guest visit’s of Will and Ron at different times in the day to help us along we got it wrapped up and went to the pub!  … Happy Days.

Now fully recovered from the stag weekend and got through the setting and forerunning for the climbing festival I’m having a day on the sofa, contemplating on when to try to get out climbing again.
