So… we are in the new year now, since being back from the honeymoon we have both been busy with work. A month has gone by and I’m feeling like I’m back in the swing of it again. In regards to my back, it’s not been great, it started playing up during the last week of our honeymoon.
On three separate occasions, I’ve been struggling to walk. I’m hoping that it’s just been aggravated due to the amount of long haul flights we did, but it’s something I can’t ignore.
I have been referred back to the specialist spinal clinic at Frenchay, for a check up and possibly some scans.
That said, I’ve still been thinking about what I’d like to try to achieve this year. Not so much setting myself any new years’ resolutions, but just a few goals to aim for.
- Be more active and focused with regards to my back injury and rehabilitation
- Improve on my best on-sight grade, so far I’ve only managed to on-sight F7b+’s
- To do most of the routes on my 2012 list
- Red-point F8b again, having only done one before this is quite an obvious goal for me
- To do a few of the local trad test pieces, including ‘Bold as Love’ and ‘Pink Ginsane’ both E6
- Visit two (route) climbing area’s that are NEW to me eg. Margalef, Siriana etc
- Take my SPA and CWLA assessment’s
